In terms of originality, no-one could ever claim that this scene offers anything new – even George Michael’s name is second-hand – but as director, Vlado Iresch, knew better than anyone, you simply can’t ever go wrong with a couple of guys in their soccer kits! What the two of them are doing on a mattress in the middle of a changing-room has remained a mystery ever since the scene was shot; but chances are that you really give a fig.
